Managing Director of RBA partner, ICON Security Group Limited, Gary is one of New Zealand’s most experienced security practitioners with over 30 years experience in the industry. A qualified accountant, Gary established ICON Security Group in 2002 and has seen it become one of the largest privately owned security companies in the country.

ICON Group employs in excess of 150 staff and operates 35 vehicles providing guards, patrols and noise control services to the Auckland market. ICON Group has also developed particular experience in providing specialist security to eight business associations, including Rosebank Business Association.

ICON Group recently conducted Project Rosebank in conjunction with the RBA and Auckland City Council which included providing free Security Needs Assessment Surveys for businesses within the area and with the target of a 50% reduction in reported crime within six months. Results are still being compiled however initial statistics indicate that the targets have in fact been exceeded.

In his spare time, Gary plays Old Boys Rugby League for the Hibiscus Coast Raiders and acts as Race Director for the Thundercat boat racing series around the country.
