Tony is Managing Director of Glucina Alloys Ltd.
Glucina Alloys Ltd (formerly Glucina Smelters) was established in 1953 by George and Marge Glucina. Tony commenced working for George and Marge in 1967. In 1977 he accepted a 50% partnership with George Glucina and in 1981 he was the main driver to relocate the company to Rosebank Rd where it now operates. He has given a lifetime commitment to the company’s success and that of the foundry industry (45 years).

Glucina Alloys manufactures a full range of certified aluminium and copper casting alloys to International Standards and is the only company of its type left in New Zealand. Glucina’s customer base includes the steel mills and automotive casting manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand.

Business Philosophy

Quite simply “You must do all the things that your customer would expect and more, with regards to quality and service.” Don’t forget that honesty is the only policy and always be happy in what you do.

Personal

Tony and his wife Andrea live on the North Shore, Auckland with their two dogs and three cats. His interests are sailing, skiing, aviation, travel and learning to play golf. Golf is now taking up most of his recreation time.
