“Health and Safety – Getting It Right for your Workplace” workshop

The NZ Health and Safety Landscape changed dramatically and will continue to go through significant changes. Good Health and Safety management is fundamental to operating a sustainable business and the care and wellbeing of staff is equally important.
All leaders need an awareness of workplace health and safety obligations because failure to manage risks can have devastating consequences. It is why due diligence is required under law of any person conducting a business. This workshop will give you basic knowledge needed to evaluate the safety performance of your organization, better understand your duties and meet due diligence requirements.

You will gain:
- Essential Health & Safety concepts in relation to due diligence.
- The key Health & Safety duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015.
- The core elements of a Health & Safety system, including how to measure risk and safety performance, and how leadership can improve it.
- Developing a plan to meet your due diligence duties.
If you are responsible for keeping people in your workplace safe, or simply motivated about making your working environment the best it can be, this workshop is for you.
As well as covering the above you will also have the chance to ask questions and discuss your challenges with a guest specialist speaker from the EMA.
